Programs

The St. Paul’s mental health team provides a wide variety of services to both our in-hospital patients and those who attend our many out-patient clinics.

The Mental Health Program at St. Paul's Hospital has a range of services that provide mental health care to specific populations.

There are four general inpatient mental health units at St. Paul’s Hospital with a total of 60 beds and nine subprograms within the Mental Health Program at Providence Health Care.

71%of patients

The majority of patients with a psychiatric issue presenting at St. Paul's are between the age of 21-50.

Our programs serve the people of Vancouver and each meet the needs of patients with a variety of needs. We are known for a number of innovative programs including a provincial program for eating disorders and one of the only Inner City Youth Mental Health Programs in Canada.

Other unique programs include geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychiatry — all programs built around the needs of growing populations in British Columbia.
